One of the things that people have found difficult in transitioning from version 6 of Apple's GarageBand to version 10 of GarageBand is the loss of the Track Effects popUp menu. Version 10 has replaced the simple menu of track effects such as the Chorus, Distortion, and Flanger with sets of “Smart Controls.” These sets can be selected using GarageBand's Library button

The trick is being able to find the combination of effects you want from the dozens of default presets, and we have a solution, the GB Effect Finder:

Flip a switch, or combination of switches, and if there's one or more presets available they are displayed in the field. Watch the Minute GarageBand video below to see it in action; the Hows and Whys:
The GB Effect Finder is freeware, use it and enjoy (do not distribute, alone or bundled with other products).
Note, this application is not Code Signed, you'll need to tell GateKeeper that you wish to allow its installation.

GarageBand from Apple Computer uses audio loops and MIDI loops in Apple Loops format. It can work with Audio Units plug-ins. Apple Macintosh Compatible FireWire and USB interfaces can be used to connect Audio and MIDI instruments to your Mac, and be recorded into GarageBand.
