A. The wizards at Apple managed to squeeze in some slick new features in the 1.1 update for GarageBand for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch...

In addition to these features from the 1.0.1 update:

Paste in a sound from the clipboard if it's at a sample rate of 44100, and a bit depth of 16.
Import audio files stored on a computer to GarageBand for iOS
GBi offers support for external devices, including AirPlay, Bluetooth, and HDMI-equipped media devices.

GarageBand 1.1 adds these:

It's universal now, avilable for iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone (back to the 3GS)
Custom chords for smart instruments (Awesome)
3/4 and 6/8 time signatures have been added
You can reset the song key without transposing original recordings
You can transpose songs in semi tones or full octaves
There are new quantizing options
There are new export settings for AAC and AIFF
An Arpegginator is available for smart keyboard
Adjustable velocity for touch instruments
Auto fade out
and improved audio import options
