Q. With my Audio Interface/USB Mic/USB Guitar hooked up, how can I use my computer's speakers/headphones/monitors?

A. You have to set GarageBand's preferences to actually use your computer's speakers rather than your interface or Mic/Guitar (which GB is mistaking for an output device).

Open GarageBand's preferences, click the Audio MIDI tab, and select Built-In from the Output PopUp menu.

GarageBand from Apple Computer uses audio loops and MIDI loops in Apple Loops format. It can work with Audio Units plug-ins. Apple Macintosh Compatible FireWire and USB interfaces can be used to connect Audio and MIDI instruments to your Mac, and be recorded into GarageBand.
