Q. With my Audio Interface/USB Mic hooked up, how can I use my computer's speakers/headphones/monitors?

A. You have to set GarageBand's preferences to actually use your computer's speakers rather than your interface's or Mic's (which GB is mistaking for an output device).

Open GarageBand's preferences, click the Audio MIDI tab, and select Built-In from the Output PopUp menu.

GarageBand from Apple Computer uses audio loops and MIDI loops in Apple Loops format. It can work with Audio Units plug-ins. Apple Macintosh Compatible FireWire and USB interfaces can be used to connect Audio and MIDI instruments to your Mac, and be recorded into GarageBand.
