GarageBand FAQ: Stop Recording

Q. When I'm recording on my Mac in Apple's GarageBand and click on the record button again to stop recording, the GarageBand playhead contunes to move, how do I stop the playhead from scrolling?

A. For whatever reason, GarageBand has always worked this way, since version 1. When you are recording and wish to stop, do not click on the record button again, click on the Play button (as unintuitive as that appears)
