Q. How can I rename a region within a track (not the track itself) in GB 6?

A. To rename a region in GarageBand 6 (And Later) you need to first open the Track Editor. Once the editor is open look at the top left corner of the region for the current name of it:Track Editor region

 

Double click the name to make it editable: track editor region editable

Type a new name and press Return.
