Q. Every time I try to record to my external Hard Drive, GB locks up for a while, how can i fix this?

A. When you bought your drive you didn't format it for Mac OS X, it arrived with a Windows format. Recent System updates and the latest version of GarageBand brought this issue to the surface. You'll need to reformat the drive to avoid this issue.
