Q. I have Apple's Logic 8, how do I import a GarageBand '08 project?

A. There is nothing special to do, the current version of Logic will open the current version of GarageBand files directly. If you are using Logic 7, you will not be able to open GarageBand '08 projects, but you will be able to open GarageBand 3 or earlier projects, etc.
