GarageBand FAQ: Musical Typing Fixer

Q. The Musical Typing keyboard is missing in my project, how can I get it back?

A. Many people have found that the Musical Typing window can get pushed just slightly off screen and that by clicking around the edge it can be found and dragged back into the visible area. Additionally, if you've changed the resolution of your monitor to a smaller size you can change it back to the larger size so that you may find it.

As a last resort, I have written a small program that is able to "Fix" some GB projects. It has NOT been very well tested, but appears to work on GarageBand '08 files (only), though not on projects originally created with earlier versions (and may not work with any future versions). Please make a backup copy of your project before trying the Musical Typing Fixer which you will find below.

GarageBand from Apple Computer uses audio loops and MIDI loops in Apple Loops format. It can work with Audio Units plug-ins. Apple Macintosh Compatible FireWire and USB interfaces can be used to connect Audio and MIDI instruments to your Mac, and be recorded into GarageBand.
