Q. How do I "Force Quit" an application?

A. Hold down the ControlKey and the OptionKey, then click on the application's icon in the dock. The last option in the PopUp menu will be "Force Quit", choose it.
An alternate method, if you prefer, is to press the key combination CommandKey-OptionKey-EscKey. This will bring up a window that allows you to Force Quit any running application.
