Q. My AIFF/AAC/Mp3/WAV file works in iTunes, but won’t Import/Play in Apple's GarageBand.

A. If it is a song purchased from the iTunes Store which has DRM, you can not import it into GarageBand.
If it's not from the iTunes store (or it has no DRM) then it’s in the wrong format internally. Use the Never-Fail™ conversion method to correct that. Also see the entry about File Extensions
