A. Search your entire hard drive, not just your Home directory, for "GarageBand" and delete all the relevant files and folders, especially all of GarageBand's loops (which take up most of the space). (Note: See the tutorial for searching under 10.5)
Also be sure that you look in Library/Receipts/ and delete any files related to GarageBand.

And to be thorough, you'll also want to Delete GarageBand's Preference Files.
