A. In Apple's GarageBand version 6 it's very easy: select the region(s) in the track (in the Timeline). Open the Track Editor and check the Follow Tempo & Pitch checkBox. The imported region(s) will now respond to any tempo changes that you make.
NOTE: Do not expect spectacular results if you change the tempo or pitch more than a little bit. In general you're likely to get better results using an Audio Editor, though extreme changes carry the same caveat.
