A. Yes, if your amp has a Line-Out it’s completely safe. However make sure you never plug a Speaker-Out from the amp in to the Mac, you will likely burn out your Mac’s Audio circuitry. As long as it's Line-Out to Line-In, it will work fine, and there is no danger to your Macintosh.
