A. The recordings that you make are stored within the project that you created. It is recommended that you do not mess with the project package (and if you don't know what an OS X package is, or how to open one, it's even MORE strongly recommended that you do not mess with it)
If you need to retrieve the recordings from individual tracks, solo each track one at a time and export (share) to iTunes, or disc.

GarageBand from Apple Computer uses audio loops and MIDI loops in Apple Loops format. It can work with Audio Units plug-ins. Apple Macintosh Compatible FireWire and USB interfaces can be used to connect Audio and MIDI instruments to your Mac, and be recorded into GarageBand.
